Our Spring seasonal, brewed with 45% Roggenmalz (German Rye), coriander and Bullion hops. Slight nuttiness from the rye is balanced with undertones of fresh spice, berries, nuts and tropical fruits flavors created by the heavy additions of Bullion hops and coriander.
Ivil Krushu Baltic Porter
At nearly 8% abv, this Baltic style porter is deceivingly easy to session. Brewed with the California Common yeast it leaves a clean finish with notes of licorice, subtle chocolate and molasses.
A sessionable, hoppy ale brewed to showcase the floral, tea-leaf flavor and aroma of the Perle hop. At 4.8% ABV and 50 IBUs, this deep orange colored IPA is highly quaffable. The minty bitterness is balanced by pale, munich, and vienna malts with a touch of medium crystal. Dry hopping with 12 pounds of whole leaf Perle adds additional layers of grassy and floral hop complexity.
Premier Enfant Biere de Garde
Premier Enfant is Burnside's take on the French Farmhouse Style Biere de Garde. Our version is a dry, amber, malt-balanced, warm fermented lager, brewed with cocoa nibs and dark muscovado sugar. Pilsner, munich, aromatic, and caramel vienne malts were used for a bready and cracker-like malt base. Nugget hops provide balance, but play only a small role in flavor and aroma. A lager yeast typically used in one of America's two indigenous beer styles, California Common, was warm fermented in lieu of using a more traditional neutral ale yeast. A blend of cocoa nibs from Trinidad, Madagascar, and Equador were sourced from local chocolatier Woodblock Chocolate and used in the mash to provide subtle notes of fruit and chocolate. Dark muscovado sugar was added to the kettle to increase fermentability and complement the cocoa nibs with a hint of molasses.
